Principle of YAG laser welding:


YAG laser welding is to use high-energy pulsed laser to implement welding on the workpiece. It uses a pulsed xenon lamp as the pump source and ND:YAG as the working substance to generate laser light.

The laser power supply first pre-ignites the pulsed xenon lamp, and then discharges the pulsed xenon lamp through the laser power supply, so that the xenon lamp generates light waves with a certain frequency and pulse width.

The light wave is irradiated by the laser crystal through the concentrator cavity, which excites the crystal to produce laser light, and then the resonant cavity produces a pulsed laser light with a wavelength of 1064nm. The laser is transmitted and focused by the optical fiber and then radiated to the surface of the workpiece, causing local melting of the workpiece to achieve welding.
