Why Do Automatic Soldering Machine Need to Preheat Before Working?

Why should the automatic soldering machine be preheated before working? The purpose of preheating the automatic soldering machine is mainly to reduce the thermal shock of the substrate in contact with the high temperature tin wave, activate the flux and dry the flux in the flux composition of the melt. Without proper drying of the substrate, the expansion of the flux gas in contact with the molten tin will cause porosity in the solder joint. The following is an introduction to the conditions for preheating the automatic soldering machine and the types of preheaters.

( I ) A more ideal preheater must be able to have the following conditions at the same time:

1. It can be heated and cooled quickly;

2. Energy can be used efficiently;
3. It is easy to clean, at least flux and other contaminants do not affect the conduction of heat;
4. Heating the metal portion of the joint without raising the temperature of the substrate;

5. Uniform protection of the heat transferred to the part of the entire substrate where the solder joint is to be formed;
6. The width of the heating range can be adjusted to suit a variety of different widths of substrate components without wasting excess heat.

7. The amount of heat generated does not change because of the length of use.
